ACCOMODATION
Highden offers a number of different accommodation choices to suit different needs, be it a quiet writing retreat in one of the off grid cabins, the communal experience of group initiation in our shared accommodation or a beautiful room in the historic Manor.
THE TEMPLES
Highden has a number of different Temple spaces which hold regular rituals and ceremonies for all of those on the land as well as specific offerings for different group streams. In alignment with the specific culture and protocols of each space you will be welcome to make use of them.
The Chapel is the old chapel from the catholic monastery and is the main space used for the Temple Initiations.
The Soul Temple is larger and is carpeted and a beautiful space for dance or movement practices.
The Dark Temple is completely natural-built earth temple Dark Room. This is used especially for dark embodiment work and journeying and is also open at times for community use.
THE LIBRARY
The library is the energetic heart of the esoteric school at Highden. More than just a room full of old books it holds the pillar of Study, a key tenet to soul work.
As Shamballa School re-emerges the library is coming into new life.
We are welcoming and grateful for donations of any books or funds to purchase new books to refill this space of knowledge and wisdom.
THE LAND
Highden is held by 36 acres of vibrating, dedicated sacred land.
As a 7th Ray school the Land itself is the temple. All of the work we do here is imbued with and informed by this land, from the 28 stone mandala to the forest temple.
The soul initiatory teachings are inextricably linked with cycles and rhythms of this ancient dance between humans and land, the infinite and the emergent; spirit and matter.
In your time here the land will undoubtedly be one of your greatest teachers and an afternoon spent exploring its endless mysteries maybe be as impactful as any experience you have here. You are invited to make this land your lover. To sing to it, to follow its pathways through field and forest. To sit and listen by one of the ponds or fire places. To lay on the cool grass under the magnificent southern night sky after a sauna or firebath.
This land is here to hold those bodies brave enough to bring their souls fully into form.

THE MANOR
Highden Manor is a 12 bedroom Edwardian manor built in 1897.
It has been many things in its lifetime from country estate to Catholic monastery to Modern Mystery school.
The manor is a living being and staying within its walls is a unique and magical experience of its own.
All rooms have beautiful views over the gardens and both ensuite and shared bathroom options are available.
